Callie and Ella Shine in Poetry by Heart Competition

Callie and Ella proudly represented the Academy at the recent KS3 poetry competition, showcasing their talent and dedication on stage. The event featured a strong lineup of competitors, including students from Chew Valley, Gordano, and Backwell, making for an exciting and high-calibre contest.

Both girls demonstrated exceptional skill and bravery, committing their chosen poems to memory and delivering powerful performances in front of a large audience and a panel of judges—an achievement that is no small feat. Their confidence and passion for poetry were evident, earning them admiration from spectators and peers alike.

The evening was a truly inspiring celebration of poetry, featuring performances from a local poet as well as captivating recitals from students across all key stages.

While the top placings eluded us this year, the Academy’s presence was felt, and the experience has only fueled our determination. We will be back next year, ready to take on the challenge once again!
