Sixth Formers Shine at Prestigious Political Debating Competition

This week, two of our talented Sixth Form students, Ellie and Kate, represented the Academy in a highly prestigious political debating competition hosted by local MP, Sadik Al-Hassan. The event provided an excellent platform for students to engage in critical discussions on contemporary political issues.
Ellie and Kate took on the challenging topic of whether compulsory solar panels and heat pumps should be required on new-build housing. Both students demonstrated exceptional debating skills and a strong understanding of the issue, presenting their arguments with clarity and confidence.
They not only represented the Academy with pride but also gained invaluable experience in public speaking and political discourse.
A huge congratulations to Ellie and Kate for their outstanding performance. Well done!
