Year 10 Community Class Visit Hinkley Point C

The Year 10 Community class recently had an exciting opportunity to visit Hinkley Point C, the largest construction site in Europe. With over 25,000 workers and 120 cranes, the site is a major engineering project shaping the future of energy in the UK.

During their visit, students gained valuable insights into how a nuclear power station operates and its role in providing sustainable energy. They also learnt about apprenticeship opportunities available at Hinkley Point C, highlighting potential career paths in engineering and construction. 

Additionally, the visit explored the impact of the project on the local environment, giving students a deeper understanding of the balance between development and sustainability.
