Year 12 Economics Students enter the LSP Target 2.0 Competition
On Thursday 20th June, our Year 12 Economics students took a trip to Backwell School for the inaugural LSP Target 2.0 Competition. Students had taken weeks to research, analyse and consider what the Bank of England should do to the base rate in order to maintain inflation at 2%. Using the most up to date information, students created impressive presentations outlining their findings and decisions.
The Churchill students: Woody Gilson, Kate Hartley, Erin Mainwaring and Ruben Simms presented a carefully considered case to keep interest rates on hold and impressed the judge (the Bank of England's South West Agent) with their breadth of research and understanding. Well done!
A special thanks goes out to our friends at Backwell School for hosting us!
