Azores Trip 2024

Azores you have blown us away!

This week students explored the volcanic landscapes and experienced active geothermal areas including geysers, hot springs (bathe in the ‘Brown Lagoon), underground lava tube caves and beautiful, and flooded volcanic craters!

They also walked amongst sub-tropical vegetation located at the famous Terra Nostra gardens, as well as visited tea and pineapple plantations which have beautiful coastal views!

A highlight of the week was a close encounter with a whale shark, along with Bryde Whales and dolphins on a trip out into the Atlantic!

This enrichment programme has supported the students classroom work and has left them excited to head on more adventures to explore the wonders of our incredible world!
