English High Attainers Shine at Awards Ceremony
This week, the English High Attainers scheme awards ceremony celebrated the achievements of students from Years 8-10 who have excelled in a series of creative English challenges. The event highlighted the students' exceptional talents and dedication to their English studies.
Students engaged in a variety of tasks, showcasing their skills and creativity. These challenges included script writing, comparing two classic novels, identifying grammar mistakes in the media, assuming the role of a trainee teacher, attending A-level classes, and even completing their GCSEs early purely for the enjoyment and challenge of it.
Miss Matter and Mr. Grimmett, who have overseen the scheme,noted that the quality of the presentations and the level of work produced was nothing short of exceptional.
Miss Matter and Mr Grimmett remarked, "The creativity and dedication these students have shown is truly inspiring. Their ability to tackle complex tasks with such enthusiasm and skill is commendable. We have been blown away by the quality of work offered by these individuals. They have set a high standard for what can be achieved through hard work and passion for the subject."
The English High Attainers scheme aims to challenge students and foster a love for English through engaging and intellectually stimulating activities. This year's participants have certainly risen to the occasion, the students and their families can all take great pride in what has been accomplished through this scheme.

Silver Award - Eliza Gilson, Sophie Thrupp, Isla Cloke, Rosie Clifton, George Brown and Molly Blundell
Bronze Award - Charlie Bailey, Kloe Davis, Ella Weeks, Keziah Sharkey, Lizzie Pincher, Syd McKean, Lola Laird, Lauren Knight, Oviya Gobinath, Isabelle Gilbert-Avison.
