The Carducci Quartet Delivers An Inspiring Workshop
The internationally renowned Carducci Quartet, founded in 1997, visited the Academy this week for a captivating 45-minute performance and workshop.
The quartet expertly guided students through a journey of string quartet repertoire, spanning from the 18th century to the present day. Their performance not only showcased their exceptional skill but also offered valuable insights into the evolution of the genre.
Following the performance, the Carducci Quartet led a workshop with our students, focusing on the art of ensemble playing.
They provided invaluable coaching to our String Group, helping them with their collaborative performance techniques. In addition, the quartet took the time to offer advice to our young solo string players, including Churchill Young Musician award winners Molly and Toby, to further their musical development.
The workshop was an inspiration, leaving students with a deeper appreciation for the art of string music and ensemble playing.
