Grease is the Word!
Our student-led Year 7-9 production of Grease wowed audiences this December! Director Leah Toomer was supported by choreographers Mair Gibbs and Megan Hind and musical director Tom Donovan, along with a strong production team of fellow Sixth Formers. They worked brilliantly with our younger students to put on an unforgettable show!
The following review was written by Mia Franklin, Year 9 Lancaster, with a gallery of photos below:
Grease: Review
Until watching Grease, I had never really seen some of my peers fully in their element and
seeing them in it was an eye opener to how much talent that is not only in my year, but in
my school as well.
Some of my personal highlights of the night were Anna’s stunning solos, Izzy’s
representation of Rizzo, Ben’s overall performance, Bella’s ability to master the Frenchie
voice as well as all the energy throughout.
I personally was amazed when I found out that Grease was led and directed by fellow
students as it was at such an amazing standard that I could’ve been fooled into giving full
credit to the supportive staff!
It was a pleasure to see all my peers and friends up on the stage and on the dance floor truly
expressing themselves. From the costumes to amazing vocals and choreography it really was
an excellent performance and tribute to GREASE.
