Abby’s Lighthouse Artwork Shines Bright in LSP Art Competition

Abby, Year 9, has earned recognition as the Secondary Runner-Up in the Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP) Art Competition. Her stunning lighthouse painting, which creatively blends greens and purples with intricate details of waves crashing against a cliffside, captivated the judges with its ability to capture the essence of a windy summer's day.

The competition, organised by the LSP saw numerous entries from talented young artists. Students were challenged to create unique and powerful depictions of lighthouses, with the goal of showcasing their creativity and artistic skills.

The results highlighted the fierce competition for the four coveted awards: Primary Winner, Primary Runner-Up, Secondary Winner, and Secondary Runner-Up. Abby's artwork stood out for its vibrant colour palette and skilful blending of grass and sky, earning her a well-deserved spot among the top entries.

The winning artworks will be on display at the LSP headquarters throughout the coming year, allowing visitors to admire the creativity and talent of the trust's young artists.
