This week saw some tough fixtures across Netball, Football and Hockey for the Academy.
Netball girls kept everyone on their toes!
Years 7, 8, and 9 Netball played against Clevedon School this week. There were two Year 7 teams, each taking a turn to play against Clevedon. Both were extremely close games, ending with a hard-fought loss of 9-7.
Year 8 also put up a fight in their match against a very well-drilled Clevedon team, but they lost their game 24-6.
Year 9 maintained their winning streak with a stellar performance to win 20-13.
Year 9 Football boys through to the next round of the Somerset Cup!
Facing Chew Valley School in the latest Somerset Cup match, the Year 9 boys football team played a brilliant game. Archie scored two goals, securing the 2-0 victory for the Academy. Well done!
KS3 Girls Somerset Football Cup
Round 1 of the U14s girls Somerset Football Cup began on Thursday, our girls put all their effort and determination into the game, making it a nail-bitingly close match. Unfortunately walking away with a 2-1 loss, but that isn’t stopping our team, next up Round 2!
Year 11 Hockey won’t let defeat stop them!
Our Year 11 Hockey team took on Kings Academy and Clevedon School this week. They lost both games in hard-fought, well-played fixtures. However, they won’t let this stop them as they prepare for their next game!
