Churchill Athletes excel at the Athletes Regional Final
The Athletics Regional Finals were held on Tuesday and our Senior Boys Team travelled to Exeter for the event. The regional finals see the best teams from the South West region compete to qualify for the English Schools’ National final.
There were some tremendous individual performances from the boys, but ultimately it was a team competition, with every throw, jump and run helping to accumulate points towards the team total in their bid to qualify for the National Final in July.
The 400m relay was the final race of the day and our boy’s got first place! This meant we left the competition with an overall second place – an incredible achievement. We now await news to see if our total is good enough to qualify for the English Schools' National final.
