Geography Competition: “The Amazing Geography of my local area”

Our Geography Department has announced an exciting new photography competition, inviting students to showcase the natural beauty of their local area. This year’s theme is “The Amazing Geography of My Local Area,” and it encourages participants to capture the essence of their surroundings, whether it’s human, physical, or environmental geography.

Students can submit photos highlighting local cityscapes, scenic landscapes like the Mendips, or even environmental features such as the Severn Estuary. The goal is to capture the diverse geography that makes each area unique.

All entries will contribute points towards the Academics House Cup, and prizes will be awarded to the winners.

How to Enter:

Students can upload their entries to the Geography Google Classroom under the "Geography Photography Competition" assignment.

Those in Year 10 or 11 who are not studying Geography can still participate by submitting their photos through the PSHE Google Classroom.

The deadline for submissions is 15th November. We can’t wait to see your entries!
