Churchill Academy & Sixth Form

Opportunities Fund

The Churchill Academy & Sixth Form Opportunities Fund is a ring-fenced account for donations and the proceeds of fundraising, designed to support activities at the Academy which benefit students.

Departments, Houses, extra-curricular activities, or student-led groups can make bids to the Opportunities Fund from for any items or events which "inspire and enable young people to make a positive difference":

  • To themselves
  • To the Academy
  • To the wider community

Bids are assessed by the Opportunities Fund Panel, with funding awarded to projects on the basis of the expected impact, added value to the Academy, and clear and explicit links to the Academy’s aims. Opportunities Fund money will only be used to directly benefit students.

How do I support the Opportunities Fund?

Donate on ParentPay

A payment item has been set up on parentpay, you can use this to donate to the opportunities fund. The default payment option has been set up at £5, however you can overwrite this with your donation amount. This payment item will be re-released in line with the three bid windows.

  • If families would like to donate but do not have a Parent Pay account you can do so by a bank transfer. Simply email finance@churchill-academy.org and you'll be provided with all the details.
