Our KS3 students will perform four thrilling nights of Queen Magic from 15th January 2025 in the Academy Hall.
This exciting production is entirely student-led, with our staff taking a back seat and letting the students take full control. Senior students lead the way behind the scenes, perfecting the script, choreographing the dances and directing our talented actors. Meanwhile, our students in Years 7 to 9 will showcase their impressive acting, singing, and dancing skills on stage!
Rehearsals have been in full swing for several weeks, and we can’t wait to see the hard work come to life. Tickets will be on sale soon, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, enjoy these behind-the-scenes photos to get a sneak peek of what’s to come.
On Monday, the Academy came together to honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve in the armed forces.
As part of our Remembrance Day observance, we held a poignant two-minute silence. During this reflective moment, Doug—one of our talented Year 10 students and also a cadet—played The Last Post to students in the AD block.
Students in the cadets, Guides, or Scouts were encouraged to wear their uniforms for the day, with a sense of pride and respect for the occasion. Among them, Reuben, proudly dressed in his cadet uniform, dedicated his morning to selling poppies for The Poppy Appeal. He went from classroom to classroom, allowing everyone to contribute to this vital cause.
We are proud of our students for their respectful participation in this important day of remembrance.
On Friday, students from Years 10 to 12 experienced a thrilling opportunity when the Bath Academy of Musical Theatre (BAMT) visited. Led by Tim King, Musical Director and Principal of BAMT, and Dan Winter, Head of Acting, students enjoyed a day of performances, expert workshops, and inspiring guidance, which provided an invaluable learning experience for our budding young performers.
Team PE held their "Student of the Term" awards this week for Term 1. These awards recognise students who have shown outstanding performance, positive attitude and dedication in their PE lessons.
This achievement reflects the students’ hard work, exemplary sportsmanship, and enthusiasm in all activities. We are proud of their commitment and the positive example they set for their peers.

Five staff members will be participating in the charity event Movember this year. For those who don't know, the aim is to start with a clean-shaven face on November 1st and spend the entirety of the month cultivating a bastion of facial hair—the often maligned moustache. As an added part of the challenge, they will also be running 60km or 60 miles.
Why are they doing it? A bit of fun, of course. However, Movember is a charity which concerns itself with prioritising funding for the four biggest health issues facing men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
It primarily gives staff an opportunity to talk to students about the reasons for taking on the challenge and the importance of having the conversations that men so often ignore.
We’ll be keeping everybody up to date with the latest moustache progress as the month goes on!
If you can donate and support the cause, please donate via this link: https://uk.movember.com/team/2236915
Leah and Flo flew to Prague with Team GB over half-term to compete against 1700 other dancers at the World Tap Championships.
The duo performed two routines, which saw them sail through to the finals. Their Junior Formation routine placed second in the world, and their Junior Trio placed fifth.
An incredible achievement for them both, and we can’t wait to see where they go next!
