On Wednesday, we took 18 A-Level Business students to UWE to take part in an Enterprise & Entrepreneurship day.
Early this year, Year 9 students participated in an interactive media workshop about the risks to young people of their social media usage, with students tasked to write and produce a podcast in groups.
Churchill students have their artwork on show in a local collaborative exhibition that is being held at the Tropicana in Weston-Super-Mare this week (15th-19th May 2024, 10am - 5pm) and it’s free to attend!
As part of PSHE, our Year 9 students had workshops with representatives from The Blunt Truth, which is a collaboration between the Avon and Somerset Police and the NHS that aims to educate the next generation about the consequences of knife crime, both in a criminal and a health context.
Today, our beloved Year 13s, some whom have been part of the Churchill family since 2017, had their final day and will now embark on their study leave.
In April, 98 students in Years 7 and 8 took part in the Junior Maths Challenge - a national competition full of challenging problem solving questions.
On 20th April, Year 8 student Alex Rice headed to London to represent the South West Region in The Mini London Marathon.
Earlier this year, over 100 students sat the Intermediate Maths Challenge and eight students from Churchill qualified for follow-on rounds.
On 16th April, Churchill's U14 Girls Football Team battled Millfield in the Somerset Cup Final.
This week we celebrate three dance stars of the week!
Lancaster House students, Oscar and Toby White, excelled at skiing in the National Schools League Finals and secured Churchill the title of National Schools Skiing Champions!
